("United States") conferred on United States' objections to Interrogatory No. 2 of Meredith's Second Set of Interrogatories and Document Request Nos. 3 and 4 of Meredith's Second Set of Document Requests. 2. During the process of conferring, and in an effort to address

confidentiality concerns, Meredith offered to drop his request for the salary of the listed persons and receive only the GS level and grade of the person. 3. On January 23, 2008, the parties spoke again by telephone on the United

States' objections to the above-referenced discovery. Counsel for the United States stated during the telephone call that the United States rejected that offer of compromise.
