) JOINT STATUS REPORT

Pursuant to the Order issued by the Court on July 25, 2007, plaintiff and defendant respectfully submit the following joint status report: In the parties last Joint Status Report, the parties informed the Court that on August 29, 2007, plaintiffs had submitted to defendant a proposal to settle the instant case and several similar cases, except as to claims based upon time spent driving between home and work in a Government vehicle. Since that time, the agency involved - the Drug Enforcement Administration - provided its recommendation concerning the proposed settlement, and the proposal was submitted for consideration by the authorized representatives of the Attorney General. The claims based upon time spent driving between home and work in a Government vehicle involve issues that are the subject of a petition for a writ of certiorari filed in Stephen S. Adams, et al. v. United States, No. 07-116 (July 27, 2007), seeking review of the Federal Circuit's March 14, 2007 ruling against the plaintiffs concerning the home-to-work driving issue. The Brief for the United States in Opposition was filed on November 30, 2007. Petitioner's brief in response will be filed by December 12, 2007.
