JOINT STATUS REPORT The parties respectfully submit this joint status report, pursuant to this Court's April 19, 2007 order, informing the Court of the parties' progress in this case. In the last month, the parties were able to reach settlement of this matter. The settlement offer has been approved by the Attorney General's authorized representative. Counsel for both parties anticipate that the settlement agreement will be signed within the next week. Once the settlement agreement has been signed, counsel for the defendant will initiate the paperwork necessary for judgment to paid from the Treasury Department's Judgment Fund. The parties will continue to file a joint status report every 30 days until the parties file a joint notice of dismissal.
