JOINT STATUS REPORT
NOW INTO COURT, through undersigned counsel, comes Petro-Hunt, L.L.C., plaintiff in
the above captioned mattr and defendant, United States of America, who wish to jointly report on

the status of plaintiffs quiet title suit, fied in the United States District Court for the Western District
of

Louisiana, Civil Action No. CVOO-0303S.
The Distict Court decision denying a tral on the merits was appealed to the United States

Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit, Docket No. 06-30095. A panel of the Fift Circuit fied its

opinion affnning the Distrct Court on March 6, 2007. Plaitiff Petro-Hunt, L.L.C., timely filed
for both rehearing by the panel, and rehearg en bane. Both were denied on July 30, 2007.

Plaintiffs timely fied their Petition for a Writ of Certorai on October 26, 2007. The United States
fied its response on Januar 28, 2008. Petro-Hunt plans to file its reply brief on or before February
12, 2008. The matter is pending before the Supreme Court.

The parties hereto win submit their next sttus report approximtely 90 days following
February 12,2008, the date upon which this report is due, or on or about May 12,2008.
