The Bureau of Motor Vehicles (BMV) shall prescribe, determine, and certify the qualifications of persons who apply to serve as interpreters / translators for BMV non-English speaking customers who seek assistance with BMV transactions.

The BMV shall have the right to authorize and administer an electronic sound recording in which an interpreter / translator assists a non-English speaking BMV customer. A Bureau of Motor Vehicles Commission (BMVC) representative will be present to administer and monitor the electronic sound recording of the transaction.
